Carlos Policarpo was born in Suzano, São Paulo, drives for team Ford Racing Trucks / Território Motorsport and started in the Cross Country in 2004. He was the champion of the trucks category with an advantage of more than 1h30min over second place.
Policarpo faced the though dispute with Amable during the Sertões, getting to be only 30 seconds ahead of the contestants.
Though, in the next stage, the champion managed to increase his advantage after the 330 kilometers of the special.
The victory was consecrated in the eight stage, considered the hardest of the Sertões, in which Policarpo won and opened an advantage of 1h30m, isolating himself in the lead.
He ended his participation in the rally with the overall time of 37h44m. We won trough regularity, said Policarpo.
