“This is a city that has been a passing point of the Sertões International Rally for tem years, but not a host city. We had already worked here in 2001 and 2002. It is a very poor municipality that is accustomed to seeing the Rally go by, and only go by. Therefore it was a cool day, for a population that deserves it: people always go by, but most times, they only use the city as a resting point.

The Brasil Solidarity Institute team will still go Balsas (MA) and Caucaia (CE). In Balsas, we are building long term history. We are working in various schools. It will be an action similar to that in Aparecida do Rio Negro (TO): we are going to have the opportunity to see the transformations that are happening while we are not present.
Environment
“When talking about environment, we work from creating awareness in the population up to a practical part, promoting workshops on paper recycling Oe implanting sustainable school rooms bemeans of the reuse of materials that were considered trash, such as roofing tiles made from PET bottle.
The school students and coordinators of the institutions attended also help to update the blog of Brasil Solidário (www.brasilsolidario.org.br/blogamigosdoplaneta). And this year, the institute began to Inter-connect the state schools through Skype, facilitating the exchange of information between them.
