Another injury compromises Deni do Nascimento’s race

Since Friday 13th, the rider Deni do Nascimento has been encountering problems during Sertões International Rally. First a wrist injury that already had ligament problem, and in today’s special, a huge hole made the rider reach the Bivouac in a lot of pain.

Around km 300, a hole caught many riders by surprise. And in this 'unexpected' situation, Deni got hurt. "Halfway through today’s route there was a crater and several riders fell, including me. With me the problem was that the bike ran over it and hit my back. Now, in addition to the bruised right wrist, the lower back also hurts. Undoubtedly, it is being a very tough rally for me", said the rider. Juca Bala also fell in this hole and was injured.

Even with the fall and the pain in the wrist, the rider was in fourth place in the stage with 2h58min36. The rider said that today’s special was a "crashing" one but after the fall, he focused on finishing the race.
