Team Salvini celebrates victory in T4.2 category

Pilot Guido Salvini, navigator Weidner Moreira and copilot Fernando Chwaiger won this Saturday (24th) special in trucks T4.2 category, and are in 3rd place in general classification.

To the team, this is a celebration moment, because they recovered well after many problems with the vehicle in the beginning of the rally. “We enjoyed what our Mercedes-Benz Atego offers us, power and structure. We managed to recover significant time; we are excited, although we know that this is still a long pursue. This is going to be a close competition”, said Guido.

He highlights that Sertões’ secret is to keep a regular pace and not let competition get too close. This generally depends on luck, because any problem will compromise the results, and that’s what happened to us in the beginning of this rally. But we are optimistic, and we think we will turn the table”, said Moreira. “We are going to keep doing our job and we’re not going to break down”.
